Miss Nella Review: Colourful, Creative Beauty Fun for Children
Miss Nella review – By Rachel Ducker
Watching my littlest copy our everyday beauty routines is the sweetest thing. Isla adores it whenever I sit down for my own makeup routine, or take a bit of time to paint my nails. So naturally when the colourful range of Miss Nella children’s beauty products appeared, she was captivated!
UK-based, family run brand Miss Nella specialise in all things child makeup & nail polish. They design ranges to promote creativity, imaginative play and self-expression in children. We were sent a selection of the most popular pieces to try, including a four-pack of nail polishes, a Blush & Eyeshadow Duo, a set of Children’s Makeup Brushes, a Nail Kit and some colourful Nail Stickers.
It is safe to say that Isla loved absolutely everything.
Peel-Off Nail Polish Made for Play
The four-pack of Miss Nella nail polishes were a total winner. They come in bright, fun colours that are completely up their alley.

The nail polish itself is water-based, and none-toxic. It’s also free from alcohol and pretty low- odour.
The most important aspect though?
It’s peel off.
Isla was fascinated to try each colour on and really enjoy watching her tiny nails being painted – when used with gentle supervision from an adult as she is quite small, and viewed as an extra special activity between mum and her.
A Sweet Blush and Eyeshadow Duo

The Miss Nella Blush & Eyeshadow Duo was another lovely addition to Isla’s mini make-over experience! Both are together so this is compact to pack but offers kids two elements to play with.
We used only the tiniest amount for a really soft, colourful finish. Isla seemed absolutely thrilled with her blushy cheeks and even demanded to show me off repeatedly!
Makeup Brushes Designed for Little Hands
The Miss Nella brush set consisted of one blend brush, one brush for blush and a couple for eye-shadow. All with fairly soft bristles and designed not only with a great purpose but to be easy for little fingers to hold on to.

For Isla, the main fun was just getting her hands on the brushes and mimicking what she has seen us do with her own make up which was fantastic imaginative play.
Everything to create a little nail salon!
The Mini Cure Set is pretty handy to have too – packed with all the essentials to make children feel they are in their own home grown nail salon, contents will vary from kit to kit (think delicate file, soft toe separators, little colourful bits and even the temporary tattoos too!)

The Nail Stickers too were a huge success, an easy way to have fun and play with decorating Nails without requiring complex artistic talent and it just fun!
Our Verdict
Miss Nella takes make up and nails for the children and turns into a fun filled artistic and playful activity which you and they will both enjoy together.
Their colourful peeling off nail varnish in my opinion is inspired as it lets them enjoy the fun without the hassle of removing it after and with great ease! Their make-up duo, brushes and Nail Kit and Sticker options are excellent as toys encourage that role play and provide kids with lots of fun, and boost their confidence too.
The brand explains that all children’s products are non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and free from anything harsh such as gluten, paraben, or cruelty – which you want when letting them play. They are suggested for age three and over, so they should definitely be used under an adults eye! Isla was younger than the recommended age, however really enjoyed having fun with me under careful Supervision , it made her feel like a “big girl!” For the older child this make-up brand would be a fantastic idea for a Birthday, activity for a playdate or even for a rainy day!
Colourful and with their own unique creative spirit the Miss Nella products did provide a smile on my little Isla, and I’m sure will create many more as her own ‘make-up collection ‘starts to grow!
