Olive and Olive Interiors opens new barn showroom near Saffron Walden

Interiors company Olive and Olive has opened its new showroom in Newport, near Saffron Walden. Converted from a barn, the new space offers visitors the chance to look by appointment and feel handpicked elegant and stylish pieces for the home.

With an eye for all things interior design, company founder, Karen Sisterson has carefully sourced cushions, footstools, lighting, mirrors, chairs and other artefacts and curios designed to complement a modern home.

The company named after the family’s black Labrador and stems from Karen’s love of artisan products. This started back in 1996 when Karen and her now-husband set off travelling around the world. Africa was the first stop where Karen was truly inspired to collect and bring back many beautiful things for the home.

Having moved back to the UK from living in Asia, Karen launched Olive and Olive Interiors and the showroom is now complete to display the beautiful pieces the company offers.

Karen commented, “I am so delighted that this dream has all come together. I choose pieces very carefully that I believe will enhance any home and only choose what I would love to see in my own home! My range is wide and diverse and includes lighting, mirrors, candles, chairs, trays, footstools, cushions and frames amongst others. The new barn showroom is the perfect accompaniment and is a warm, inviting and welcoming space for people to come, browse and feel relaxed.”

Olive and Olive (named after the family Labrador Olive) has recently forged links with local charity ‘Labrador Retriever Rescue Southern England’ (LRRSE). This is a registered charity that rehomes purebred and Labrador Retriever crosses.
