Home Makeover – Master Bedroom
Concept and how we did it
The Master Bedroom should always be a stand out room..
For our’s we decided (again) to keep all of the walls a natural (Farrow & Ball – Shaded White) and painted the cupboard doors in a slightly darker (Farrow & Ball – Stoney Ground Eggshell).

1. Soft Furnishings
We ditched the pink curtains and hung some natural linen ones from Dunelm. The bedside tables and hanging light fittings were also from Dunelm and didn’t require an electrician to install them but have the same effect as wall lights. We finished with a couple of sheepskin rugs.
2. Bed & Mattress
A comfy and stylish bed is at the heart of a fabulous master bedroom so we enlisted the help of Simba Sleep who provided both hybrid mattress and Cloud bed with duvet and pillows. The best things is the flat packed items were so easy to install.
3. Artistic touches
As this house was by the river we installed some boat oars above the bed, its a gentle nod to the houses surrounding – but a steal from the local antiques shop. You have to look around for little star pieces.

4. Bed linen
Soft bed linen always makes a good night sleep so we used Tielle Luxury on this bed – hotel style with a 300 thread count. There isn’t a crinkle in it! We then dressed it up with a pop of orange on this gorgeous Broste Copenhagen bedspread with matching pillows.
5. Finishing touches
Every great room has a flare of pampas and we also installed some beautiful gold accent mirrors from Olivias.
