Final Fantasy XIV: What Every Player Needs to Know about Frontline PvP Mode
Have you ever played Final Fantasy XIV? And this, by the way, is one of the main competitors of World of Warcraft and one of the most famous MMORPGs. Even though the game is almost 13 years old, it still gathers a great number of online players every day.
Not all beginners can level their characters quickly from the very beginning, so many of them use the services of game boosting. This is legal and safe help that is offered by a team of professional players who can go through dungeons, conduct power leveling, make raids, and much more. Since the main in-game currency means a lot, many players also prefer to buy gold ff14 through boosting services. You can buy almost anything in the game if you have enough gold and this will greatly speed up your power leveling.
And in this article, we will talk about a certain PVP mode in the game Final Fantasy 14.
What is a Frontline
Frontline is a PvP mode for 24 and 72 (with a large number of participants) people with the capture and destruction of objects on large maps. To open it, you need to complete a quest Like Civilized Men and Women (Maelstrom, Immortal Flames, Twin Adder).
In this mode, 3 teams fight, each belonging to one of the grand companies. Previously, players were distributed among the teams of their grand companies, but this restriction was removed and now the teams differ only in colors.
To win, you need to score a certain number of points, the conditions for obtaining them depend on the card. Also, points are awarded for shooting enemy fighters. On the contrary, points are deducted for death.
With kills and assists, the Battle High scale is filled, which increases the power of attacks and healing spells in FFXIV. The higher the Battle High, the greater the gain. The first buff (+10% to strength) is activated at 20 units of Battle High, and the most powerful buff (+50%) is activated at 100 units. At death, Battle High is reduced by half.
With respawn on the base, you can change your profession. There is no optimal combination, but at least one healer should be present in each batch. You can teleport to the base using the Return command.
FF14 players are very fond of PVP events. At some point, the game became so popular that problems with the server started. As a result of these issues, the company temporarily suspended the sale of new copies, and its director Naoki Yoshida offered a sincere apology.
Now let’s observe maps on Frontline.
The Borderland Ruins
Along the edges of this map, there are points to capture: one next to the bases and (only in 72-player mode) one more between them. The more points a team has, the faster it scores points. To capture a point, players must stay within it for some time. If several teams came to the point, the team with a numerical advantage will receive it.
NPC robots sometimes appear on the hill in the center. The first time it happens a minute after the start of the match, then at 5:30, 10, and 15 minutes. Robots shoot at players but do not move, it is easy to dodge their attacks. Points are awarded for their destruction. At 10 minutes, a large column appears together with the robots. The team that does more damage to it will get a solid increase in points.
Seal Rock
Another interesting map in Final Fantasy 14. There are terminals that turn on randomly. They are scattered on this map. Captured terminals gradually give points depending on the rank – B, A, or S. They are indicated by different icons on the map: A has a white edge, and S has a gold edge. S gives the most points, but they appear rarely and usually towards the end of the match.
To start capturing the terminal, you need to click on it. This procedure takes 5 seconds and is interrupted during an attack. If the terminal already belongs to some team, it will become a draw when captured.

At the beginning of the match, 3 terminals are turned on (in 72-player mode – 4 terminals). The captured terminal works for a couple of minutes, then another one turns on instead. In this case, the same terminal may turn on several times in a row. The remaining energy at the terminal can be viewed on the map by hovering the cursor over it.
The Fields of Glory
This map in Final Fantasy XIV is dotted with crystals that are gradually ignited randomly. Sometimes, at the beginning of a match, all the crystals are lit at once.
The crystals have a certain margin of safety, after their destruction, each team gets points – depending on the proportion of damage inflicted. Crystals can be large and small (in 24-player mode – either large or small). There are only 3 big ones, they are stronger and the reward for them is much higher.
Also, next to the base of each team, there is a place for which points are constantly awarded. To capture this location, players must stay within it for some time.
Onsal Hakair
As in Seal Rock, on this map, you need to capture labels of different ranks: B (blue triangle), A (red rhombus), and S (golden pentagon). Here it is more difficult to capture them alone, since the new labels are visible in advance – 30 seconds before switching on. Another difference is that the captured tag cannot be taken away, which means it makes no sense to guard it. Frontline is a very interesting mode in Final Fantasy 14 and many players prefer it. We hope that with our guide it will be much easier for you to succeed in this PvP mode. The new 6.25 patch was released not long ago and brought fans new weapons and quests
