Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka
I wanted to introduce an exciting new British Vodka that is making waves in the sustainable spirits space. Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka innovatively handcrafts its liquid in a 100% carbon neutral production line, using only apples grown in British orchards. This fascinating distillation process using apples is the first of its kind to be done on a mass scale. Based in North Yorkshire, Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka has one main mission; to help drinkers “rediscover” vodka. The brand’s unique approach to the distillation process – with a focus on “craft” – leads to a noticeably smooth and creamy liquid.
The King’s Favour Sauvignon Blanc 2021/22, Marlborough
Brent Marris is winemaking royalty. And it turns out, he may be descended from actual royalty too. His ancestor, William de Marisco was rumoured to be the illegitimate son of Henry I – not that that guaranteed the family good relations with royalty. The de Mariscos spent much of the 12th and 13th centuries living a life of piracy on the Isle of Lundy. Brent created the King Series to celebrate his family’s history, and their tempestuous relationship with the monarchy. This is a classic Waihopai Sauvignon Blanc – an important Marlborough sub-region where the wines are particularly vibrant. Think guava, gooseberry and a hint of blackcurrant leaf which sets this apart from the standard. Of course, it’s also mouth-wateringly fresh – a dream with barbecued fish with mango salsa.

Manseng Noir, Plaimont, 2022
Deeply coloured red from a grape that was presumed lost in the phylloxera crisis but rediscovered growing wild in south-west France. A versatile food wine that packs a lot of plummy flavour into a relatively modest alcohol level.
Champagne PIAFF Brut
This is a stunning Brut Champagne from PIAFF, combining Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes, to create an elegant expression, full of creamy brioche and crisp fruit.

Grown under the Sicilian sun in family-owned, sustainable vineyards, Vinca’s pale rosé, white and red are made by wine lovers and canned with the planet in mind – and they’re so delicious you’ll wonder why you’ve never had wine from a can before.
The pale rosé: Organic Syrah (187ml/12.5%/RRP £3 per can)
The pale rosé is made from 100% syrah grapes from vineyards that show off the coastal terroir. Careful pressing allows the delicate red fruits to shine and allows the syrah to bring a slight spice to the finish. This is a lovely Provence-style pale rosé from the north-west of Sicily.
The crisp white: Organic Catarratto (187ml/12.5%/RRP £3 per can)
Vinca’s white wine is made from catarratto, the grape synonymous with excellent Sicilian whites. The grapes are lightly pressed, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks to retain all the crisp, tropical & citrus fruit notes.
The juicy red: Organic Nero D’avola & Frappato (187ml/13.5%/RRP £3 per can)
The red wine is a blend curated by Vinca’s Jack and head winemaker Ivan in Sicily. It uses 80% nero d’avola, a wonderfully juicy red grape, and top it with 20% frappato to bring a little dried strawberry and pomegranate to the finish.

Cune Mencia
Northwest Spain’s increasingly fashionable Mencía grape produces red wines in a variety of styles depending on the soils in which it’s grown, the age of the vines and, among other things, whether it’s aged in oak.
It’s unoaked, bluish ruby in colour and smells and tastes of crushed raspberries streaked with white pepper, minerally earth and a pinch of smoked paprika and its crunchy fresh acidity outweighs any tannin.
The producer, C.V.N.E., is one of Rioja’s great names and is still run five generations later by direct descendants of the two brothers who founded it in 1879. It’s been pronounced ‘coonay’ since an early typo, hence the brandname Cune.
Graham Beck Brut, South Africa
You’ll be in good company when you uncork a bottle of this Brut. It’s affectionately known as the ‘President’s Choice’ because it was served at both Nelson Mandela’s inauguration and Barack Obama’s presidential win.
It’s made with the Méthode Cap Classique – a style identical to the traditional method used to make Champagne, using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir too. It means it’s a real steal for fizz fans who love the taste of Champagne – but not the price. Fresh but creamy. Full of limey citrus flavours – it’s got a lovely brioche richness from its second fermentation in the bottle. Fantastic with cheesy nibbles.
Caliterra Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Caliterra was established in 1996 as a joint venture between the families of Robert Mondavi and Viña Errazuriz. In January 2004 Viña Errazuriz became the sole owners of Caliterra, at the heart of which is the impressive 1000ha Caliterra Estate. The name Caliterra is taken from ‘Calidad’ Spanish for quality and ‘Tierra’ – land. The wine making philosophy of Caliterra is to produce environmentally friendly, quality wines in the heart of the Colchagua Valley. The focus is around the Caliterra estate in Colchagua where 288ha are currently under vine. Crucially a large proportion of this estate, and all new plantings, are on prime hillside sites resulting in high quality fruit and complex wines.
Brown Brothers Orange Muscat & Flora
Part winemakers and part explorers, John Graham Brown and his brothers travelled the globe- armed with a heady vision and pioneering spirit- to find new and exciting grape varieties not yet planted in Australia. Upon the Brown Brothers return, the ‘Kindergarten Winery’ was born; a winemakers playground created to push boundaries and create new wine styles. A place where ideas thrive and innovation resides. The only rule? Never stop exploring.
The late harvested Orange Muscat fruit is judiciously blended with the very rare Flora grape to create a sweet yet rich and beautifully balanced wine. Explore with fresh berry tarts or soft blue cheese.
Faustino I Gran Reserva Rioja
Deep cherry-red and maroon tones. The nose is intense and complex with sweet notes of vanilla, spice and ripe fruit which follows through to the palate. Well structured and elegant with good acidity, leading to a warming, sweet, ripe fruity finish.
Luc Belaire Luxe Art Series Sparkling Wine
Since the winemakers at Luc Belaire have been in the business since the 19th century, you could say they know a thing or two about wine. Created in the heart of Burgundy from a blend of handpicked chardonnay and pinot noir grapes, this Gold brut sparkling wine is a fresh and balanced cuvée that’s bursting with aromas of stone fruit, ripe pear, and brioche. Delicate and dry on the finish, it’s a fruity expression that’s best enjoyed al fresco, preferably in the sunshine.
Bumbu XO Rum
