
Candy, Hoover, and Haier’s innovations create a new smart-home experience – in which you have the leading role!
After a two-year hiatus, from 2nd to 6th September Haier Europe again takes to the stage at the IFA in Berlin, the most important annual exhibition dedicated to the world of technology, innovation, and the best in consumer electronics.
Haier Europe’s primary aim is to meet every consumer’s need through continuous technological innovation, a careful use of artificial intelligence, and constantly advanced design – the perfect “zero distance” approach. Thanks to a close connection between products, ecosystems are shaped around people’s lives and can anticipate desires and offer solutions that simplify and enhance their daily routine.
At this most prestigious trade show, Haier will present ingenious new solutions in which the IoT (the Internet of Things) plays a key role in environmentsespecially designed forCandy, Hoover, and Haier appliances. Consumers are invited to enjoy this new home experience, starting with these great products, which not only have smart new functional capabilities, but also captivating and fresh designs.

The 3,700 square-metre exhibition space, which is located in Pavilion 3.1, captures Haier’s super, futuristic vision of a smart home. Embark on an incredible journey through connectivity, where the key stages host superb new products which incorporate technological solutions that come alive, interacting with visitors, and involve them in unique moments.
Candy, Hoover, and Haier are shown in three distinct macro-areas, dynamic and connected spaces, with three immersive pathways progressing through dedicated stations that highlight each range’s innovations and essentials. Events, entertainment, and international show-cooking will all contribute to a highly engaging user experience.
Once more, the hOn app is the star. This platform allows users to manage all the appliances of the three brands and access various services, thanks to an increasing number of partners, established on a scenario-based ecosystem. The number of registered users on the hOn app has recently hit 4.5 million.
On this important occasion of IFA 2022, we are also pleased to announce Haier Europe’s most significant recent achievements, including the opening of new plants. In 2021, we completed the construction of two new factories in Romania and Turkey, which specialise in manufacturing refrigerators and dryers, respectively. In2022, production also began at the new dishwasher plant in Turkey.
All the new factories are best-in-class and structured to optimise production capacity, product availability and range flexibility. The new plants play a pivotal role in the go-to-market and customer centricity strategy.

Haier: Connect to Extraordinary
The Haier ecosystem is the No.1 brand in the large household appliances sector* and the “Connect to Extraordinary” experience relates a story that combines design, technology, and tailor-made scenarios. The main character is the hOn app, through which the potential of all the appliances has been increased to bring personalised home management to a level of exceptional efficiency. The multiple functions of products come to life on big screens that project visitors into scenarios where connection becomes the tool for enhancing daily life.
IFA 2022 is also the perfect time to introduce the world to the new WashPass service available in pay per wash mode.This ultra-technologically connected washing machine automatically doses 4 specific detergents to achieve the best washing performance – with the least commitment on the user’s part.
Connect to Extraordinary takes place in the washing area with smart machines which use advanced technology to deliver the best care for washing and for the environment, while providing an unprecedented level of hygiene. Among the most impressive new items, we have the new SUPERDRUM model, with the largest drum available on the market. In the kitchen, the I-PRO SHINE is ideal for those looking for a high-performance dishwasher – and perfect for plates, after preparing food using the latest CHEF@HOME SERIES 6’s Artificial Intelligence inside™ technologies.
In the cooling area, there is no shortage of long-awaited essentials and new items: the CUBE 90 SERIES that via artificial intelligence becomes the core of the whole home ecosystem, and the CUBE 90 SERIES 7 and FD 90 SERIES 7 – multi-door appliances equipped with revolutionary Absolute Ice technology, the only method tested on the market that produces ice that is 10 times purer. Thanks to a spectacular interactive ice cube, the functions, and features of the two multi-door appliances will transport the visitor into a new refrigeration experience.
Candy is the perfect blend of unmistakable Italian design, brilliant ideas, and democratic connectivity. In Berlin, the brand will express that ethos in “Simplify your Day,” an installation that presents smart solutions surrounded by the creative work of young artists, where the visitor can dive into multisensory environments and enter the Candy world.
At the entrance, an interactive wall will show scenes from daily life in which housework is dealt with in an original way. The heartbeat of the exhibition is in the experiential area, where you are in physical contact with the smartest Candy appliances, all streamlined by the services provided by the hOn app. In the area dedicated to the Candy RapidÓ dishwasher, thereal and the virtual world come together on a large screen to reveal the main technological innovations on offer. Take a picture – and customise the super Fresco refrigerator by displaying your photo on the different shelves inside the appliance. The path leads on through the infinite world of smart functions in Candy’s new washing machines and dryers, such as the latest addition to the RapidÓ PRO family, the dryerwith the most complete series of quick cycles on the market, or Aquamatic,the smallest washing machine available in its category, exhibited in the Design Hub in a colourful limited edition.
The I-case refrigerator is the product of the ingenuity of young artistic designers, the talented students at the European Institute of Design in Milan, and the MDW22 contest winner. The MODERNA collections, in modernistic stainless steel and glass form, and the ESSENZA line, focused on style and minimalism, will both be under the spotlight in a dynamic cooking show, in which brand solutions will be thoroughly tested by guest chefs preparing food live!
Hoover: Quality for Life
This is a deep immersion in the performance and connectivity of Hoover products through augmented reality experiences that highlight the brand’s bond with design and technology, which to Hoover represents “Quality for life” – performance dedicated to well-being and quality of life in the home environment. The needs and desires of consumers are at the centre of a powerful programme that aims to show the public cutting-edge, technological solutions, and in which the meaning of “high performance” is amplified. Visitors will immediately recognise the quality of all Hoover’s appliances and be astonished by the minimal and fresh design, as well as the new sanitation functions.
The true star of this year’s IFA, though, is the new HF9 cordless stick vacuum with its new sensational features: the perfect balance between power and real autonomy, the HF9 can clean a whole house and will meet all requirements. Featuring a powerful motor with ‘No Loss of Suction,’ optimal balance of power and runtime, Anti-twist floorhead to prevent hairs tangling around the brush bar, a Digital display and 5-year warranty.
At IFA, we will also present a selection of remarkable new Hoover products. The new H-WASH 700 washing machines, with a 20% improved washing performance and extra wide, high porthole, and H-DRY 550 arethe perfect match in terms of flair and functionality. In the kitchen, you will find the H-DISH 700 PRO, the top appliance in the new dishwasher range, which guarantees the utmost care for delicate dishware such as wine glasses, and the H-OVEN 500 Steam Plus with Steam&Taste technology that cooks both with steam or at low temperatures. Finally, the refrigeration world welcomes the H-FRIDGE 700, the refrigerator that comes with Total No Frost Air Care – to keep food as fresh as the day it was first stored.
