Girl Meets Brush
Girl Meets Brush was founded by Lynne Mills, renowned makeup artist with eighteen years of experience in the field. Having worked with celebrities and graced the pages of Vogue and other magazines, she has established herself as an award-winning makeup artist in bridal and fashion make up. Girl Meets Brush is built upon a signature product line which includes a brush set and palettes for face and eyeshadows.
In 2018, Girl Meets Brush launched their online makeup academy to provide flexible, supportive training for aspiring makeup artists. The academy fosters a supportive community where members can hone their craft under the guidance of experienced professionals. Through this platform, they strive to empower aspiring MUAs of all levels to express themselves through makeup and reach their full potential.
By combining professional-grade products with a supportive community, Girl Meets Brush makes beauty accessible to everyone. They strive to promote a culture of inclusivity, making sure that every individual feels safe and welcomed.
The academy is a comprehensive online platform designed to support make-up artists starting out in their careers. Providing resources and guidance, from tutorials and video demonstrations on make-up application techniques to career advice and networking opportunities.
The ever growing academy community offers MUAs a place where they can connect with one another, exchange ideas, and find invaluable resources for succeeding in their profession.
Also offering MUAs with the opportunity to challenge their creativity and push boundaries with regular make-up challenges covering a wide range of skills, such as bridal, vintage, SFX Avant Garde and Glam.
‘By being part of this supportive academy community, our MUAs grow in confidence as they take on these challenges and are able to receive feedback from each other as well as our team.
Our MUA of the Year Awards are a great event each year& every fortnight brings new winners for each category, then at the end of the challenge period overall winners are selected from all entries.
Not only does this help build their portfolio but also boosts their confidence & skillset too. We believe that by providing opportunities like this we are really helping our MUAs unlock their full potential.
