Delicious dinner party recipe: Guiness Mac n cheese

Ingredients:

250g / 8 oz macaroni (elbow pasta)

• 1 can of Guiness

• 1 tbsp butter

• 3 cups double cream  

• 2 cups freshly Jarlsberg Cheese

• 3/4 tsp salt

• 2 garlic cloves chopped

• 1 onion – chopped

• Panko breadcrumbs to top

• Extra grated Jarlsberg to top

Method:

• Bring a large pot of water to the boil. Add macaroni and cook per packet directions MINUS 1 minute.

• Preheat the oven to 180℃.

• Place butter in deep pan over a medium heat and melt.

• Add in your chopped onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes, until softened.

• Pour in 1 can of Guiness and bring to the boil.

• Add in the cream and bring to a simmer.

• Now add the Jarlsberg and stir until melted. Add the pasta.

• Top with breadcrumbs and a little more jarlsberg.

• Place in the oven for 15 minutes until the breadcrumbs are golden and the cheese is melted.

• Now enjoy.
