REVIEW: The Cybex ePriam

REVIEW: The Cybex ePriam

By Rachel Ducker

This is really something special – a state of the art pushchair that runs with an electric motor to help make tackling steep hills and rough terrain an absolute breeze.

In a nutshell…

Not only is it luxurious and stylish, the Cybex ePriam is the first travel system that comes with a plug-in charger. Ideal for going up steep hills it’s an electric pram with a motor that aids you when needed.

Things I love about the ePriam…

I love the fact this product grows with your family.

I started off with the carry cot – during those first few weeks – but then switched to the car seat which fits onto an iso fix base in the car and lifts out straight onto chassis with ease. This has been a game changer in terms of going out with my baby, as I don’t have to disturb him if we go from home to car or vice versa.

Finally there is the pram seat kit which comes in handy once your baby has outgrown the car seat.

Its a three in one!

Top selling points…

  • Beautifully executed set of wheels
  • Large choice of fabrics and chassis options
  • Spacious carrycot with lots of additional features – suitable for overnight sleeping
  • Stunning looking pushchair finished to an exceptional standard

The look…

This is by far the most beautiful pram I have owned, I love the rose gold chassis, the leather handle bar adds a bit of luxury with perfect stitching and the fabric is high quality.

How easy is it to fold?

The Cybex e-Priam is really easy to fold away and take apart. I usually keep mine in the boot of my car ready for the next adventure.

Basket space…

Very important for mums who love to shop. It is easy to access the basket underneath the pram and it does have a flap that keeps things securely covered, always handy too if your shopping is always overflowing like mine!

Can you accessorise?

On both the left and right side of the stroller, you will find a circular adaptor mounted just below the leather handlebar – this is to attach a cupholder. You can also get a cute snack holder and other items including further rain covers.

What’s in the box?

This pram comes in two separated boxes. One box contains the frame, two front wheels, the power bar, a charger, a rainproof cover and two booklets of instructions. The other box contains the carrycot, another rainproof cover and another booklet of instructions.

This pram is ideal for…

Parents on the go who love the outdoors, especially in more adventurous locations such as beaches or the country.

My verdict…

I have test many prams over the last two years with my son Leo, but this has to be the best I have had so far. In terms of it appearance, the fact it is so lightweight and easy to fold – plus that motor really comes in handy – as I live in the country! Yes – its at the higher end of the market price wise, but definitely worth every penny.

Where to purchase…

You can buy it from John Lewis, Mamas & Papas and Kiddies Kingdom.
