Summer’s Calling: New Small Plates Menu Launched at Southwold Hotel
Southwold hotel small plates menu: To accommodate the British summertime weather, a dedicated small plates menu is now available for locals, day-trippers and guests alike from the newly refurbished courtyard or within the relaxed and contemporary setting of The Swan at Southwold.
The introduction of a small plates menu will be the newest addition to the offerings from the hotel and will be offered in The Swan Courtyard and the hotel’s Tap Room, alongside the hotel’s AA two rosette fine dining restaurant, The Still Room.
The Swan Courtyard small plates range between £9 and £15 on the regularly changing menu and will include dishes such as Grilled whole crevettes with lemon and garlic butter, Chilled baked aubergine, harissa oil, lemon yogurt, crispy onion, croutons and basil and Beef short rib with Adnams beer malted onion.
To celebrate this new venture for the hotel, The Swan at Southwold hosted a ‘Summer Sundowner’ event on Thursday 25 June 2026, giving guests a first look and try of the new selection of dishes that will be served.
This is the first of a series of events planned for The Swan Courtyard with many more scheduled across the summer months.
The next event will take place on Wednesday 29th July from 5:30pm, tickets are £35 and will include a complimentary Summer Spritz before enjoying a selection of beautifully crafted small plates, created for sharing and celebrating the best of the season. Live acoustic music will also fill The Swan Courtyard, providing the perfect ambiance to catch up with friends and family.

Alongside the new food offering, The Swan Courtyard has also been given a refresh. The upgraded ambiance has seen investment in landscaping, festoon lighting and new furniture.
The new small plates menu is available daily during lunch and dinner and tables are on a first come, first served basis.
