Today, Isla (my daughter) and I spent the afternoon at Fritton Lake for Natural Recharge, a beautiful wellness experience created in collaboration with Norfolk Natural Living.
It was one of those afternoons that felt calm from the moment we arrived. Fritton Lake is already such a peaceful setting, with its wide open water, natural surroundings and relaxed atmosphere, but paired with Norfolk Natural Living’s signature scents and slower, sensory approach to wellbeing, it really did feel like a proper little reset.
A Beautiful Start at The Clubhouse
Before the wellness experience began, we enjoyed a beautiful mezze lunch in The Clubhouse, which was the perfect way to ease into the afternoon.
The food was fresh, relaxed and ideal for sharing, with that lovely unhurried feeling that makes lunch feel like part of the experience rather than something squeezed in beforehand. It was also the perfect opportunity to catch up with new and old friends.
Sitting there with Isla, looking out across such a gorgeous setting, felt like the perfect start to an afternoon focused on slowing down and taking a breath. There is something really special about Fritton Lake. It has that tucked-away feel that instantly makes you switch off a little.
A Calm and Sensory Wellness Experience
The afternoon itself was all about slowing down, reconnecting with nature and enjoying the simple wellbeing rituals that make you feel grounded again.
There was time to experience the Pink Sauna Box, which had been infused with Norfolk Natural Living’s beautiful signature scents. The warmth of the sauna, mixed with the fragrance and the peaceful lakeside setting, created such a calming atmosphere.
There was also the option of a refreshing cold plunge and guided wild swimming in the lake. The combination of heat, cool water, fresh air and scent made the whole experience feel incredibly restorative. It was not rushed or intimidating; it felt gentle, natural and beautifully thought through.

We also had the chance to discover more from the Norfolk Natural Living collection, including a lovely hand treatment.
Their products always feel beautifully considered, but experiencing them in this setting made them feel even more special.
Everything worked so naturally together – the scent, the lake, the sauna, the calmness of the space and the focus on taking a moment for yourself. It is not loud or overly polished in that commercial way; it feels thoughtful, elegant and rooted in a love of natural ingredients, beautiful fragrance and everyday rituals that make home and wellbeing feel a little more special.

It was also lovely to see Bella, the founder of Norfolk Natural Living, there in person.
There is always something special about meeting the person behind a brand, especially when the experience reflects their vision so clearly. Bella’s passion for Norfolk Natural Living really came through in the way the afternoon had been put together. It felt personal, considered and full of those small details that make an event memorable.
You could really feel that this was not just about showcasing products, but about creating a moment of calm and connection. The whole afternoon reflected the heart of the brand – natural, sensory, thoughtful and beautifully understated. A Lovely Afternoon with Isla Being there with Isla made the afternoon even lovelier.

It was peaceful, gentle and a reminder that sometimes the best way to recharge is simply to step outside, slow down and take in what is around you.
As a mum, those quieter moments can feel rare, so spending the afternoon somewhere so calm, with beautiful scents, fresh air and time by the water, felt really special.
Natural Recharge was a gorgeous example of Norfolk wellbeing at its best: simple, sensory and beautifully done. It brought together everything that makes this part of the world feel so special – beautiful surroundings, independent creativity, thoughtful hospitality and a genuine sense of calm.
