
REINDEER ON STILTS, ICE RINK FESTIVE TRAIN TO SANTA’S GROTTO
AT HEVENINGHAM HALL’S CHRISTMAS MARKET & SANTA RUN
Visitors to next weekend’s charity Christmas Market & Santa Run on Saturday 4th December at Heveningham Hall will be greeted by reindeer on stilts, a synthetic ice rink and a festive train ride to visit Santa’s Grotto.
Local artisans from Suffolk and beyond will showcase their products from jewellery to Christmas wreathes at the event which runs from 2 pm – 7 pm. Visitors will be able to browse stalls, take to the ice rink or board “Robbie” the land train to visit Santa in his Grotto.
This year’s event – which sees all proceeds go to charity – take place in a new location close to the Orangery and Walled Garden.
Visitors will also be able to purchase Christmas trees, mulled wine, lots of tasty local foods and other refreshments. Dogs on leads are welcome and entry & parking are free.
The Santa Run also takes place on Saturday with a 2.10 pm start for the Santa’s Little Helpers run (under which covers 2.5km and a 2.30 pm start for the main run. Registration for both events takes place from 2 pm – when Santa suits and race numbers can also be collected – and entry is by cash only on the day. There are prizes for the winners of each race donated by the Heveningham Hall Country Fair Trust and all proceeds from the races go to Wenhaston Primary School.
