Freddie’s Flowers Review: Bringing a Little More Colour Into Family Life
Freddie’s Flowers review: By Rachel Ducker
When we’ve had flowers around the house it can, instantly, make the entire space feel more ordered.
Even though in reality we’re still struggling with the laundry to do, with toys all over the floor and someone asking for a snack for the fifteenth time that day, a beautiful flower arrangement on the counter somehow manages to create a calmer ambiance to everything.

So when Freddie’s Flowers offered to send over one of our seasonal deliveries, which included a particular arrangement for the kids, it felt like a lovely idea to add more colour to our home lives.
Flowers Delivered Straight to Your Door
Freddie’s Flowers has, a name for itself by doing things a little differently regarding flower delivery.
You don’t receive a pre-made bouquet, as you might expect, but instead you need to put your own arrangements together based on a specially selected seasonal collection of flowers provided in a box, that come with an illustrated guide that informs you about what to do where.

A lot of them come to you in bud, which in turn means that part of the joy that you will get comes in waiting and seeing as the arrangement slowly unfolds and morphs over the course of many days. They also said that the flowers, as part of a subscription offer will, as an example, even last for as long as 14 days if you give them proper care.
For anyone who, like me, loves interior decorations, that is perhaps the most enjoyable aspect of this concept. You don’t just open a box and plunge them into a vase as they are; there is a peaceful aspect to trimming the ends of the flowers and creating your unique focal point.
Getting the Kids Involved
What made that flower delivery even sweeter is the possibility of involving the kids too.
A lot of people may not realise or think about the fact that you can get the children involved too, arranging flowers for example isn’t necessarily considered an activity the kids would be able to take part in, but when giving them their very own stems and arranging with us they managed to turn something in to an event that we could actually have fun enjoying together.
We encouraged them to notice the shapes, colours and textures of everything and, even more importantly, they also had the chance to make something totally themselves rather than having yet another electronic device dominate their attention.
There were quite a few times the table did get a bit chaotic as we made adjustments.
Young children too can easily be educated to appreciate nature in day-to-day life and we’ve had many happy moments in explaining exactly how to look after their fragile plants.
A Subscription That Doesn’t Feel Too Restrictive

If you want to enjoy having flowers for the home on an ongoing basis Freddie’s flowers offer flexible subscriptions. At present you have a variety of choices available such as weekly deliveries, fortnightly or even every3 weeks, and there is the option to suspend, skip, or cancel deliveries when required. You even get to choose the size of the bouquets too from the Classic, as well as the largest version that’s available which they’ve titled showstoppers, all come based upon differing seasonal varieties of blooms.
The part I love most about that particular subscription offer is the unexpected factor.
There is no chance of boring repetitions when you don’t have to choose same old bunch from flower shop again and again, the selection varies seasonally. They also do single bouquet orders for special occasions, or they can put together an arrangement for any sort of event you feel the occasion demands and they also do special gift subscriptions for 3-12 month periods if it’s that time of year for an extra Special Treat.

The Little Luxury That Changes a Room
Fresh flowers, in general are one of those few luxuries that somehow have been lost in my memory, only once the stunning bloom sit at eye Level do I remember how much i love them. They can drastically transform a home’s atmosphere; your hallways, the kitchen counter as well as the sitting room, it doesn’t require the expense of an entire living room makeover, the. It’s the small, things that make a huge, huge difference, especially whenever we’ve spent too much of our working days with the children by us at home.
The package of flowers from Freddie’s Flowers became an interior Decorate a Room Piece, a family activity, as well as a good reason, of course, for me to spend about ten minutes on my own time peacefully designing flowers on our dining table.

And, as anyone who has spent a considerable time with children will tell you, ten minutes on your own time is something i would take whenever it’s possible and offered. For more details on Freddie’s Flowers as well as their Seasonal Flower Deliveries check their website at Freddie’s Flowers.
