THE Great British Bake Off winner, Giuseppe Dell’Anno, will be in Suffolk this November for an afternoon tea and conversation event in conjunction with The Swan hotel in Southwold.
Announced to coincide with the return of the popular baking show, the Italian-born baker will be at The Swan on Wednesday 11thNovember.
Winner of the 2021 series, Giuseppe is set to talk about his love of baking, his family’s gastronomic heritage and his experience of entering and triumphing in one of Britain’s best-loved television shows.
He will share stories from his baking journey, the pressures and memorable moments of Bake Off, and the whirlwind that followed his win, as well as offering some timely tips for successful festive baking.
Guests will have the opportunity to sample the tiramisu that earned Giuseppe a coveted Hollywood handshake, before enjoying an exclusive afternoon tea featuring some of Giuseppe’s Italian-inspired recipes, curated by head chef, Rory Whelan .
There will also be a chance to put questions to Giuseppe and meet him during the afternoon.
On his imminent visit to Suffolk, he said: “I’m so excited to be coming to Southwold, as it’s not a part of the East Anglian region I’ve spent time in so far, and I hear such wonderful things.
“It will be a very special afternoon and is just the perfect event ahead of the Christmas season.”
Alex Crepy, General Manager at The Swan, Southwold, said: “We have staged some really popular and distinctly different events at The Swan over the last year, but we know this one is going to be incredibly special – coming just ahead of the festive baking season, and offering such a unique chance to ask questions of a Bake Off winner.
“We share with Giuseppe a great passion for great conversation over delicious food, so this is a wonderful collaboration for us.”
Alex added: “With the new series under way this week, and with Giuseppe such a popular personality from past episodes of the show, we certainly don’t expect tickets to hang around, so would encourage people to book early.”
This is the first event in a new series of events for the hotel aptly named Swan Stories.

A Great British Afternoon with Giuseppe Dell’Anno takes place at The Swan, Southwold, on Wednesday 11 November 2026 from 1pm. Tickets are £90.
