Laura Whitmore Pregnancy Skincare Edit With SKN TO SKN

Laura Whitmore Pregnancy Skincare Edit With SKN TO SKN: Broadcaster, actor, author and soon-to-be mother of two Laura Whitmore is tackling one of pregnancy’s most frustrating beauty dilemmas: not just what’s safe to use, but what actually delivers when your skin becomes unpredictable.

Her answer is a considered collaboration with SKN TO SKN, the insider go-to for pregnancy-safe formulas, brought to life through a limited-edition edit shaped by both clinical expertise and her own first-hand experience. Because pregnancy changes your skin, not your standards.

“I remember standing in the bathroom Googling every ingredient, second-guessing everything I used,” says Laura Whitmore. “There’s so much confusion around what’s safe, and what actually works. I really wish something like this had existed when I was pregnant the first time.”

Launching on 23rd April, the Laura Whitmore x SKN TO SKN Edit (£94 / €120) is designed to cut through that noise – offering a streamlined, pregnancy-safe routine that feels both reassuring and genuinely effective.

“I selected my three favourite products from the collection,” she adds. “It was important to me to keep things simple – products I trust, that support my skin without the need to overthink every step.”

Housed in a limited-edition wash bag, the edit includes:

  • SKN TO SKN Balancing Act Cleanser – a gentle gel-to-oil formula that cleanses without stripping
  • SKN TO SKN Glow & Go Daily Moisturiser SPF30 (Light Tint) – for hydration, protection and an effortless, healthy-looking glow
  • SKN TO SKN Multi-Tasking Face Serum – to support balance, calm and hydration

In other words: everything you need, nothing you don’t.

Founded by Irish entrepreneur and mother of two Sara Stokes, SKN TO SKN was created specifically for hormonally responsive skin, spanning pre-conception, pregnancy, breastfeeding and postpartum.

Formulations are developed alongside leading clinical experts including consultant dermatologist Caitriona Ryan and women’s health GP Raj Arora, ensuring products are not only pregnancy-safe, but genuinely supportive of skin health.

Dr. Raj Arora, explains: “Pregnancy often brings a shift in how women approach skincare, they become more cautious, but also more discerning. What’s important is having products you don’t have to question. This kind of simplified, well-curated routine helps take the mental load away, while still supporting skin through those hormonal fluctuations.”

The collaboration taps into a broader shift: women are becoming more discerning during pregnancy, moving away from overly complicated routines and towards simplified, expert-led solutions they can trust.

For Whitmore, the edit is ultimately about reassurance. “Pregnancy comes with enough unknowns,” she says. “Your skincare shouldn’t be one of them.”

Prof Caitriona Ryan, Consultant Dermatologist and founder of the Institute of Dermatologists, Dublin, says “During pregnancy, skin often becomes more reactive, so a ‘less is more’ approach is key.

It’s best to avoid known irritants and ingredients such as retinoids, hydroquinone, high concentrations of salicylic acid and heavily fragranced products, which can increase sensitivity or aren’t considered suitable during pregnancy.

Instead, opt for gentle, fragrance-free, barrier-supporting skincare, ingredients like astaxanthin, peptides, ectoin, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide which help maintain hydration and support the skin without overwhelming it. Daily mineral sunscreen is also essential, as hormonal changes can make pigmentation, including melasma, more pronounced with sun exposure. Ultimately, it’s about protecting the skin barrier and choosing products that support the skin through this period of change.”
